Jamshedpur, June 20: XLRI Delhi-NCR commenced the academic journey of its newest cohort of the Postgraduate Programme in Business Management (PGPBM) with an inspiring inaugural ceremony at the Xavier Hall.

The event marked a significant milestone for the incoming Class of 2025–27, setting the tone for a transformative educational experience.

The ceremony opened with the traditional lighting of the lamp and a multi-faith prayer service, featuring readings from the Bhagavad Gita, Bible, Quran, and Guru Granth Sahib — a reflection of XLRI’s inclusive ethos and commitment to spiritual and moral grounding.

Fr. K.S. Casimir, S.J., Director of XLRI Delhi-NCR, extended a welcome to the new students, along with their families, faculty, and staff. In his address, he emphasized the institute’s legacy of value-based education and called upon students to pursue not just academic excellence but also personal integrity and a deeper sense of purpose.

“At XLRI, education goes beyond careers. It’s about building character, nurturing empathy, and preparing leaders who will transform society,” he noted.

Prof. Munish Thakur, Dean of Academics, introduced the faculty team, highlighting the academic support system and mentorship that will guide students throughout their journey.

The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Fr. PT Joseph, S.J., Dean of Administration & Finance, who acknowledged the efforts of the organizing team and officially welcomed the new students into the XLRI family.
