Ranchi, June 23: Union Textile Minister Giriraj Singh, during a programme in the Adityapur Industrial Area on Monday, launched a sharp attack on both the Jharkhand and West Bengal governments. Speaking to the media, he alleged that Chief Minister Hemant Soren is attempting to turn Jharkhand into Bengal, while West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee is working to turn Bengal into Bangladesh.

“Hemant Soren wants to make Jharkhand Bengal. While Mamata Banerjee wants to make Bengal Bangladesh,” said Singh.

Champai Soren’s move to BJP ‘absolutely correct’

The Union Minister endorsed Champai Soren’s decision to break away from the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), calling it “absolutely correct.” He argued that this move would help prevent Jharkhand from “becoming Bengal.”

Singh also aimed political dynamics in neighbouring Bihar, stating: “The people of Bihar will once again reject the entry of the Lalu family, and the BJP will form the government with a full majority.”

Plans to boost Jharkhand’s textile industry

Turning to development initiatives, Singh highlighted plans to promote the tassar and textile industries in Jharkhand. He said indoor tassar cultivation had already begun in Nagdi, Ranchi, and that a proposal was being prepared to establish a large-scale textile industry in the state.

He also touched on national progress in the healthcare sector under the Modi government, noting that new MBBS colleges were being opened across India, along with a significant increase in medical seats.

“Under the leadership of PM Modi, India is making better efforts in the field of medicine,” Singh added.
