Jamshedpur, June 26: A pledge-taking session for drug de-addiction was organized today at the auditorium of Sona Devi University, Ghatshila.
The event aimed to promote a drug-free environment within the university community.
The session was graced by the presence of Vice Chancellor Dr. J.P. Mishra, Registrar Dr. Gulab Singh Azad, and Controller of Examinations Kamlesh Singh.

In the presence of the university authorities, all academic and non-academic staff, along with students, took a solemn oath to abstain from any form of intoxicants.
Registrar Dr. Gulab Singh Azad urged everyone to make a firm resolution never to indulge in substance abuse and to inspire others in society to also stay away from addiction.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining personal and community well-being by resisting such harmful habits.

Also present were NSS Unit Head Dr. Shiv Chandra Jha and members of the NSS team, who committed to keeping the university campus free from the scourge of addiction and to actively promoting awareness about its ill effects.
The event concluded with a collective commitment from all attendees to uphold a clean, healthy, and drug-free environment within and beyond the university.
