Three Jamshedpur youths arrested for brandishing firearms on social media

Jamshedpur, July 8: In a swift and coordinated action, police personnel in Jamshedpur apprehended three youths who were seen flaunting firearms in photos that went viral on social media.

The images, which caused panic in the locality and triggered public outrage, showed the trio posing with country-made pistols, leading police to launch an immediate investigation.

The accused have been identified as Ritesh Singh, Ashok Gupta, and Raj Kumar Mukhia alias Raj Baccha.

Acting on intelligence inputs and visual evidence from viral images, a special team was constituted. The team conducted multiple raids and successfully nabbed the accused, bringing relief to the residents of the area.

According to police sources, the images clearly showed a black-and-silver iron country-made pistol, a silver pistol, and a Samsung touchscreen mobile phone. All of these items have been seized during the operation.

Preliminary investigation reveals that the three accused are known for their criminal activities in their respective areas.

The police had already been monitoring them, and the viral photos served as the tipping point that led to their immediate arrest.

Potential Threat Averted by Prompt Police Action

If the police had not acted swiftly, the situation could have escalated into something more serious. Thanks to the timely intervention and strategic operation led by the officer-in-charge, a potential crime was successfully averted.

The three are currently being interrogated, with police trying to trace the origin of the seized weapons and investigate any possible links with larger criminal networks.

The police have urged the public to report any suspicious or anti-social activities without delay.
