Heavy Rain Alert: All schools in East Singhbhum closed on July 10

Jamshedpur, July 9: In light of the India Meteorological Department’s forecast predicting heavy to very heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours, the East Singhbhum district administration has announced the closure of all schools up to Class XI on Thursday, July 10.

Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Karn Satyarthi has issued an official directive mandating the closure of all government, private, and minority-run schools across the district as a precautionary measure.

The move aims to ensure the safety of students and mitigate potential disruption to public life caused by the adverse weather conditions.

To prevent academic loss, schools have been advised to conduct online classes wherever feasible.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that strict adherence to the order is expected from all educational institutions.

The district administration is continuously monitoring the situation and will issue further instructions as required.

Institutions failing to comply with the directive may face action under the relevant provisions of the Disaster Management Act, 2005.

Heavy rains lashed Jamshedpur and its adjoining areas today, disrupting normal life.

School students today faced a tough time reaching their schools. Office goers too faced a harrowing time due to the intermittent rainfall throughout the day.
