Usha Martin University Professor sets national record with 331 e-Books

THE JHARKHAND STORY NETWORK

Ranchi, July 9:  Dr. Mohammad Amir Khusru Akhtar, Associate Professor and Dean of Research at Usha Martin University (UMU), has been recognised by the India Book of Records for authoring the highest number of e-books by an individual in India. Writing under the pen name Shunya, Dr. Akhtar has published an astonishing 331 e-books on Amazon Kindle, in both English and Hindi.

A Journey Rooted in Silence and Thought

Dr. Akhtar’s writing journey began in 1993, not as a pursuit of accolades, but as a deeply personal practice—what he calls a “pilgrimage.” Over the decades, his work has grown into a body of literature that reflects on metaphysical paradoxes, emotional healing, artificial intelligence, and the power of silence.

His major book series—including The Gentle Path, Personhood Rewritten, and The Play of Being—invite readers not just to read, but to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with their inner world.

“I do not write to be read.
I write because love has nowhere else to go,” he says.

Beyond the Classroom: The Professor Who Writes Echoes

At Usha Martin University, Dr. Akhtar teaches in the fields of artificial intelligence, mathematical modelling, and Metaverse theory, where his research focuses on the evolving architecture of computational cognition. As Dean of Research and IQAC Coordinator, he blends his academic expertise with a poetic sensibility rarely seen in technical disciplines.

“These books are not accomplishments—
they are echoes.
Questions I’ve had no choice but to live.”

His teaching philosophy is as layered as his writing: while his research asks how machines think, his prose reflects on why humans feel.
