PINAKI MAJUMDAR

Jamshedpur, July 10: XLRI Jamshedpur, in collaboration with Tata 1mg, organized a two-day Special Health Screening Camp on July 6–7.

The initiative, led by the Student Wellbeing Committee, followed the signing of an MoU between XLRI and Tata 1mg on July 5.

Over 215 participants — including students, faculty, staff, family members, and campus security — availed the benefits of the camp.

XLRI sponsored the Rs 499 basic package for all first-year students and security personnel, offering tests like CBC, HbA1c, Thyroid, and Lipid Profile.

Participants also had the option to choose from higher-value packages based on personal health needs.

Fr. Donald D’Silva, Dean (Administration & Finance), emphasized XLRI’s holistic approach to education, stating, “A healthy body is essential for a healthy mind. This initiative reflects our values of care and inclusiveness.”

Prof. Kalyan Bhaskar, Convenor of the Student Wellbeing Committee, said, “This camp underscores our commitment to the physical and emotional well-being of our XLRI family.”
