XLRI launches PGDM blended batch 2025–27 under XOL

Jamshedpur, July 22:  XLRI Jamshedpur officially inaugurated the PGDM Blended Programme 2025–27 under its XLRI Online Learning (XOL) platform, welcoming 135 professionals from varied industries.

The ceremony marked the beginning of a transformative academic journey aimed at shaping future-ready leaders equipped with both practical insight and ethical conviction.

The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by an invocation led by Fr. Donald D’Silva, SJ, Dean of Administration & Finance, who prayed for wisdom and success for the new cohort.

Fr. Sebastian George, Director of XLRI, delivered a welcome address.

Drawing inspiration from Martin Seligman’s “learned helplessness” experiment, he urged students to rise above inertia, embrace resilience, and uphold integrity in their leadership journey.

Sanjay Patro, Dean of Academics, highlighted XLRI’s legacy of academic excellence and its continuous evolution to align with industry needs.

He emphasized the program’s demand for dedication while promising deep personal and professional transformation.

Chief guest Harish Rajagopalan, CHRO at CRED, lauded the students’ decision to pursue such a rigorous and impactful program. He underscored the importance of embracing AI-led change while cultivating key leadership qualities: decisiveness, mission orientation, structured problem-solving, and trust rooted in empathy and competence.

H.K. Pradhan, Director of PGDM (Finance), shared the vision behind the program’s design—focused on clarity, balance, and reinvention. Acknowledging the unique challenges faced by working professionals, he reassured the cohort of the brain’s incredible capacity for growth and adaptability.

Giridhar Ramachandran, Associate Dean of XOL, warmly welcomed the incoming batch, stressing the power of community-driven learning, discipline, and open communication. He also expressed gratitude to the families and employers who enable and support the students’ academic ambitions.

The inauguration concluded on a note of energy and inspiration, setting the tone for a rigorous yet rewarding academic experience.
