Officials emphasize flawless execution, safety, and visitor convenience

Dhanbad, August 13: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Aditya Ranjan and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Prabhat Kumar jointly inspected the full-dress rehearsal for Independence Day celebrations at the Golf Ground.

Participating contingents included the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF), Jharkhand Armed Police-3, District Armed Police-1 (Men), District Armed Police-2 (Women), Home Guards, Rural Police Force, NCC cadets, Bharat Scouts and Guides, and various band units, all marching in the prescribed order.

DC Stresses Timely Arrangements and High Standards

During the inspection, the DC directed all concerned officials to ensure the programme is executed on time and that arrangements for security, traffic management, drinking water, medical facilities, stage decoration, and guest reception are maintained at the highest standards.

SSP Issues Clear Instructions for Crowd Management

SSP Prabhat Kumar instructed police and traffic personnel to ensure there is no crowding or disorder during the event. He stressed that the convenience and safety of visitors should be given top priority on the day of the function.

Flag Hoisting Schedule

Since 1956, Dhanbad has held its Independence Day flag hoisting ceremony at the Golf Ground (Shaheed Randhir Verma Stadium).

This year, the Deputy Commissioner will unfurl the national flag at 9:00 AM on August 15.

The schedule will be followed by flag hoisting at the Dhanbad Collectorate at 10:00 AM, the Sub-Divisional Officer’s office at 10:20 AM, Mishrit Bhawan at 10:30 AM, Gandhi Seva Sadan at 10:40 AM, Red Cross Society at 10:50 AM, and Police Lines Dhanbad at 11:00 AM.

The rehearsal was attended by Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Rajesh Kumar, DSP Headquarters-1 Shankar Kamati, District Public Relations Officer Sunil Kumar Singh, and other district officials.
