Jamshedpur, August 26: XLRI Jamshedpur hosted its flagship Annual CHRO Conclave, KRONOS 2025, organized by the PGDM (GM) Batch of 2025–26, on the theme “Reimagining Work, Workforce & Workplace: The CHRO’s Playbook for 2030.”
The conclave brought together some of India’s top HR leaders to deliberate on the disruptive transformations reshaping people and organizations.
The event was inaugurated by Fr. George Sebastian, S.J. (Director, XLRI), Sanjay Patro (Dean, Academics) and Purna Chandra Padhan (Associate Dean, Executive Programs).

Fr. Sebastian stressed that while AI will augment processes, HR’s human core ensures it remains the “nerve center” of organizations.
Prof. Patro emphasized purposeful job design, while Prof. Padhan underlined KRONOS’s role in bridging academia and industry.
Three thought-provoking panel discussions formed the highlight of the conclave:
Workforce Resilience – Building Agility in Times of Constant Change: Leaders from Transsion India, BCG, Zeta, L&T Finance and Optum underscored agility, empathy, talent mobility and holistic well-being as cornerstones of resilience.
The Evolving Role of CHROs – From HR Leader to Strategic Business Partner: HR leaders from EXL, Vedanta Power, L&T Finance, Vadilal and Vector Consulting stressed continuous learning, culture-driven leadership and human connection as key to strategic transformation.

Beyond DEI – Creating Truly Inclusive and Equitable Organizations: Speakers from Kyndryl, Northern Trust, Tide, GMMCO Ltd and India Power emphasized equity, transparency, inclusive hiring and empathetic systems as enablers of future-ready workplaces.
The conclave concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of the Conclave Committee and support teams.
