Jharkhand News: New NSS session inaugurated at Karim City College

Jamshedpur, August 26: The new academic session 2025–26 of the National Service Scheme (NSS) was inaugurated today at Karim City College premises. The program commenced with the traditional NSS clap and a welcome dance by students.

Principal Dr. Mohammad Riyaz graced the occasion as the chief guest and inspired the students by highlighting the importance of NSS in nurturing discipline, leadership, and social responsibility. He urged the volunteers to dedicate themselves to the spirit of service.

Dr. Ale Ali, head of NSS, in his address, emphasized that NSS instils the religion of humanity and creates pathways for meaningful social service. Following this, students presented a welcome speech, songs, and cultural performances that reflected the zeal of the new session.

Former NSS Presidents Rinku Kumar and Manav Ghosh also attended the event. Speaking on the occasion, Manav Ghosh encouraged students to join NSS, describing it as a platform to sharpen talent while learning new skills and values.

NSS alumni were present and formally introduced the new session’s team. The cultural segment included a group song by Saurabh and Sujata and an energetic group dance, which received wide appreciation from the audience.

NSS Coordinator Syed Sajid Parvez detailed the unit’s activities, objectives, and future plans through an engaging PowerPoint presentation. The current President of NSS, Jaikrishna, presented a video showcasing the highlights of previous activities, which drew keen attention from students.

During the program, volunteers also distributed membership forms to interested students and explained the enrollment process.

The event concluded with Kashifa delivering the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the guests, faculty, and students for their participation. The stage proceedings were conducted smoothly by Ayush Asthana, who officially announced the closure of the program.
