Ranchi, Oct 11: Usha Martin University (UMU) organised an engaging and thought-provoking session titled “Nurturing Future Leadership: Review and Reflection” for its senior academic and administrative leaders. The initiative aimed to strengthen leadership development and promote a culture of excellence in higher education.

The interactive session was led by Dr. Amir Khusru Akhter, Dean (Research), and Dr. Arvind Hans, Dean (Faculty), who shared valuable insights on cultivating leadership potential within academic institutions. Their presentations focused on the key aspects of modern leadership, including innovation, financial prudence, strategic decision-making, and the ability to inspire and empower teams.

The event was graced by Prof. Milind, Pro Vice-Chancellor; Dr. Shiv Pratap Verma, Registrar; Prof. B. N. Sinha, Dean (Academics); and Dr. Anil Kumar Mishra, Campus Director. All Heads of Departments and senior members of the university management participated with great enthusiasm.

Throughout the session, participants explored strategies for developing leadership qualities rooted in collaboration, emotional intelligence, and adaptability—attributes essential for driving institutional growth and academic innovation. The open dialogue encouraged reflection on shared goals and the importance of nurturing future-ready leaders within higher education.

Interactive discussions and reflective exercises added depth to the event, offering participants an opportunity to exchange ideas and align around a shared vision for academic leadership at Usha Martin University.

The session concluded with a renewed commitment among the university’s leadership team to transform these learnings into actionable strategies, further strengthening UMU’s mission of fostering academic excellence, innovation, and responsible leadership.
