Patna, Oct 17: Union Home Minister Amit Shah met Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at his Patna residence on Friday, marking a key moment on the final day of nominations for the first phase of the 2025 Assembly elections.
The meeting underscored coordination within the NDA as the alliance prepares for the upcoming polls.

The Bihar elections will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11 for the 243-member state legislature, with results scheduled for November 14.

The NDA has already finalized its seat-sharing arrangement, with the BJP and JD(U) contesting 101 constituencies each, Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) fielding candidates in 29 seats, and both Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) and Upendra Kushwaha’s Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) contesting six seats each.
