National Unity Day is observed every October 31. It’s to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
The theme of National Unity Day 2025 is Unity in Diversity. India is a mosaic of varied and colourful cultures, regions and religions but despite such diversity, India has a unique Indianness across its length and breadth.
Inclement weather and early morning rains saw this Run For Unity take off at 9 am instead of the 7 am prescheduled time.
The participants took a pledge to protect the unity, integrity, security and sovereignty of India.
