Dhanbad, Nov 21: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) launched a large-scale operation on Friday morning, raiding nearly 10 locations linked to coal outsourcing company owners and coal traders across Dhanbad, Maithon and Chirkunda.

The coordinated searches are part of the agency’s ongoing probe into suspected financial irregularities in coal trading and outsourcing contracts.

Houses and Offices of Key Businessmen Under Scanner

According to sources, searches are underway at the residences of Dev Prabha Outsourcing owners L.B. Singh and Kumbhnath Singh in Dhanbad’s Saraidhela locality.

Raids are also being carried out at the home of Avinash Transport owner Arvind Singh in Chirkunda near the Jharkhand–West Bengal border, and at the Maithon residence of coal trader Binod Saw.

Multiple ED teams initiated the raids simultaneously early in the morning, and searches were still in progress at the time of filing this report.

Heavy security has been deployed at all locations, and officers conducting the operation have declined to speak with the media. Entry points to the searched premises have been fully secured.

In Maithon, two ED units are conducting parallel searches at the residence of Binod Saw and his office located in Debudih.

Another ED team is stationed in Chirkunda, inspecting the house of Arvind Singh, who operates Avinash Transport and is also a business partner in Dev Prabha Outsourcing, a firm associated with Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL).
