Jamshedpur, Dec 21: IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre today withdrew the cold wave alert from Jharkhand.

The forecast suggested a two to three degrees rise in maximum temperature during the next two days.

The cold wave condition has been prevailing in isolated pockets of Jharkhand for the last three days due to the dominating cold and dry north-westerly currents.

Met statistics suggested that the minimum temperature was prevailing between 9-11 degrees Celsius in most parts of the state.

Satellite pictures suggested that no significant synoptic situation exists over Jharkhand.

Dry weather prevailed over the state for the past 24 hours.

The highest maximum temperature of 26.4°C was recorded at Chaibasa while the lowest minimum temperature of  7.2 °C was recorded at Garhwa during the last 24 hours.

Weathermen hinted of a western disturbance which might impact Jharkhand’s weather after the next 72 hours.
