SUBHASH MISHRA

Ranchi, Dec 2: A large number of Congress workers from Jharkhand will participate in the party’s mega rally scheduled for December 14 in Delhi.

The decision was taken on Tuesday at the meeting of the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Executive Committee held at the Congress Bhavan in Ranchi, chaired by state Congress president Keshav Mahto Kamlesh.

Sharing details, Jharkhand Congress vice-president Brajendra Prasad Singh said that the All India Congress Committee has called the “Vote Chor – Gaddi Chhor Maha Rally” at Ramlila Maidan on December 14.

“It was decided today that party workers from all districts will ensure their participation in large numbers,” he said.

He added that lakhs of Congress leaders, workers and citizens from across the country are expected to join the rally.

“More than 5,000 Congress members from Jharkhand, including over 500 from Dhanbad alone, will participate,” said Singh, who also heads the party’s state disciplinary committee.

Singh said the mega rally would serve as a united, peaceful, and constitutional expression of public resentment against alleged vote tampering, targeted voter deletion, and all forms of electoral malpractice.
