New Delhi, Dec 6: In the National Herald case, the Delhi Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) has issued a notice to Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, directing him to submit his financial and transactional details at the EOW office by December 19. The notice was sent to Shivakumar on November 29.
Investigating officers have sought complete information about his personal background and his association with the Congress party.
The notice also asks who instructed him or his related entities to make payments in the name of donations.

It further questions whether he was aware of the final use of the funds transferred to M/s Young Indian (YI), and if so, seeks full details.
Responding to the notice, Deputy CM Shivakumar said he was “shocked” by it, claiming he had already provided all details to the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
He said the ED had summoned him and his brother earlier, and they had submitted all required documents. “There is nothing wrong. This is our institution, and as Congress members, we support it,” he stated.
Calling the development a case of harassment, Shivakumar said, “This is our money. When we pay taxes, we can give it to whomever we want.” He added that the PMLA case had already concluded and the chargesheet had been filed.

“I don’t know why the police needed to register a case. We will fight this in court. This is only an attempt to create confusion among Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and their supporters,” he said.
