The homage recalled the deadly incident of December 13, 2001, when five terrorists linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed breached the Parliament complex in New Delhi and fired indiscriminately.

The attack occurred nearly 40 minutes after the House was adjourned, at a time when around 100 MPs were still inside the building.
14 people, including members of the security forces and a civilian, were killed in the assault, which was thwarted by the personnel who laid down their lives to protect the country’s highest legislative institution.
