Dhanbad, December 28: Deoghar district Indian Medical Association (IMA) president Dr Dhanwantri Tiwari was installed as National Vice-President of the Indian Medical Association (IMA Headquarters).

The installation ceremony was held on December 27–28 during IMA NATCON 2025 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, where the newly elected national team of the IMA, led by President Dr Anil Nayak, also assumed charge.
100th All India Medical Conference
The event coincided with the 100th All India Medical Conference, making it a historic occasion for the medical fraternity. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, IMA Chief Patron Dr Ketan Desai, and around 5,000 doctors from across the country attended the conference.

Second Doctor from Jharkhand
Dr Dhanwantri Tiwari has become the second doctor from Jharkhand to be elected as National Vice-President of the IMA. The first was Dr Ajoy Kumar Singh of Ranchi, who held the position during 2004–05.
Congratulations from Medical Fraternity
Office bearers and members of the Jharkhand IMA chapter, Junior Doctors Network (JDN), and other medical associations congratulated Dr Tiwari, calling it a moment of pride for Jharkhand that a doctor from the state has been elected to such a key national post.
