Dhanbad, Jan 31: Rail services on the Dhanbad route will be disrupted for two days after eight passenger and express trains were cancelled due to Non-Interlocking (NI) work between Sitarampur and Barachak stations under the Asansol Rail Division.
Senior railway officials said the cancellations will remain effective on January 31 and February 1. The affected trains are widely used by daily commuters and are considered lifeline services for passengers on the route.

The temporary cancellations are part of operational safety measures during Non-Interlocking work, which is carried out to upgrade and synchronise railway signalling systems.
