Ranchi, March 24: Delhi Public School (DPS), Ranchi, organised its Annual Function-cum-Orientation Programme on Tuesday at the Vivekanand Auditorium, celebrating the growth and creativity of students.
The event was themed “Magical Bubbles – From Little Ducklings to Beautiful Swans,” highlighting the journey of young learners as they grow with confidence and learning.

Chief Guest Highlights Value of Holistic Education
The programme was attended by Smt. Rajeshwari B (IAS), Director, Panchayat Raj, Ranchi, as the chief guest.

In her address, she spoke about the importance of holistic education, stressing that schools should focus not only on academics but also on character building. She encouraged students to follow discipline, integrity, and curiosity, and appreciated the school for providing a supportive learning environment.

Orientation and School Vision Shared
The event began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by a welcome song. Saplings were also presented as a symbol of sustainability.
School Principal Dr. Jaya Chauhan welcomed new parents and described the orientation as the start of a partnership between parents and the school. She said the school aims to develop students who are academically strong, emotionally balanced, and ethically grounded.
She also highlighted the theme, explaining that every child has potential which can grow with proper guidance and care.

Cultural Performances Enthral Audience
Students presented a variety of cultural programmes. A dance performance titled “Dance of the Golden Harvest” by Classes IV and V was one of the highlights.
Nursery students presented “A Journey to Shine,” which received appreciation for its innocence and joyful presentation.
The school also unveiled its magazine “DIPS TIME,” showcasing students’ creativity and achievements.
The programme ended with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the chief guest, parents, and participants.
The event reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing young learners and helping them grow into confident individuals.
