Ranchi, May 9: Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi has once again attacked the Hemant Soren government over a viral video released by alleged gangster Prince Khan, claiming the incident raises serious questions about law and order in Jharkhand.
Posting on social media platform X, Marandi said that while police usually expose criminals, “in Jharkhand, gangsters are exposing the dirty secrets of the police.”
Marandi Alleges ‘Competition’ Between Police and Criminals in Dhanbad
Referring to Dhanbad, Marandi alleged that there appears to be no real conflict between the police and criminals, but rather a competition between the two sides over who can instil greater fear among businessmen.

“The only difference is that one side allegedly extorts money in uniform, while the other does so without a uniform,” he said.

Marandi also raised concerns over alleged political patronage and claimed public trust weakens when rumours circulate about postings in sensitive districts being secured through “crores of rupees in bidding.”
He questioned whether such appointments are meant to improve law and order or are becoming an “extortion license.”
Prince Khan Releases Fresh Video From Pakistan
Meanwhile, gangster Prince Khan, who is reportedly living in Pakistan, released another video making fresh allegations against police officials.
In the video, Prince Khan claimed that former Dhanbad officer Randhir Kumar helped him obtain a passport in exchange for Rs 10 lakh. He also alleged that police harassment and false cases pushed him into crime.
Prince Khan claimed he was previously involved in dairy farming and construction work before turning to criminal activities.
Police have alleged that Khan is operating from Pakistan and has links with a terrorist organisation. He is accused of extorting money from businessmen in Jharkhand.
The claims made in the video have not been independently verified.
