Jamshedpur, May 25: In a major boost to industry-academia collaboration and skill development, 27 students from Ghatshila-based Sona Devi University have joined Yazaki India Private Limited in Bhayla, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, for a two-month paid internship beginning Monday.

The selected students belong to various streams, including B.Tech, BCA, BBA and B.Com, and will receive practical exposure at one of the world’s leading automotive component manufacturing companies.
Yazaki India manufactures a range of automotive products, including speedometers, tachometers, instrument panels, meters and advanced electronic components used in vehicles. The global Yazaki Group is also known for producing wire harnesses, electrical systems, air-conditioning equipment, solar devices and gas appliances.

Students Excited About Industry Exposure
The students expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity, saying the internship would help them connect classroom learning with real-world industrial experience.
Congratulating the students, Sona Devi University Vice-Chancellor Dr Braj Mohan Pat Pingua urged them to make the best use of the opportunity.
“This internship is not just a learning experience but a stepping stone toward a brighter future. Utilize this time wisely, focus on skill development, and strive to gain practical knowledge. Along with technical understanding, internships help nurture teamwork, healthy competition, leadership qualities, and communication skills,” he said.
He also encouraged the students to complete the internship with dedication, adding that their achievements would bring recognition to the university.
The initiative reflects Sona Devi University’s focus on enhancing practical learning and preparing students for industry requirements through professional exposure.
