262 candidates get appointment letters from CM Hemant Soren in Jharkhand

Ranchi, June 24: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Wednesday distributed appointment letters to 262 newly selected candidates, including Food Safety Officers, Specialist Medical Officers, Senior Hospital Managers, and Finance Managers, at a ceremony held at the Jharkhand Secretariat.

The appointments include 56 Food Safety Officers selected through the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and 206 personnel appointed under the National Health Mission (NHM), Jharkhand, comprising 151 Specialist Medical Officers, 29 Senior Hospital Managers, and 26 Finance Managers.

Government Focused on Strengthening Healthcare

Congratulating the newly appointed candidates, Chief Minister Hemant Soren said the state government is committed to ensuring adequate manpower across sectors to accelerate Jharkhand’s development. He urged the appointees to perform their duties with dedication, integrity, and a strong sense of public service.

The Chief Minister emphasised that strengthening healthcare services remains a key priority of the government. He said large-scale recruitment and institutional reforms will continue to improve healthcare delivery and ensure better medical facilities for people across the state.

Innovation and Efficiency Key to Healthcare Challenges

Addressing the gathering, Soren said the healthcare sector faces challenges such as workforce shortages, infrastructure needs, resource management, and timely treatment, particularly in rural areas.

Referring to the COVID-19 pandemic, he highlighted the importance of innovation, coordination, rapid decision-making, and efficient systems in responding to health emergencies. He stressed the need for adopting modern technologies, improving healthcare management, and building stronger emergency response mechanisms.

Focus on Accessible and Timely Healthcare

The Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to providing accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare services. He said efforts are underway to strengthen healthcare systems at all levels to ensure prompt treatment and better patient care, especially during emergencies.

Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari, Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary Ajay Kumar Singh, Special Secretary Neha Arora, NHM Mission Director Shashi Prakash Jha, senior officials, and newly appointed candidates were present at the event.
