Twin upper-air cyclonic circulations to intensify rainfall across Jharkhand till August 7

PINAKI MAJUMDAR

Jamshedpur, Aug. 4: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast an active spell of monsoon weather across Jharkhand over the next four days, driven by the combined influence of twin upper-air cyclonic circulations and the monsoon trough passing close to the state.

The prevailing synoptic conditions are expected to trigger widespread thunderstorms, lightning, gusty winds and spells of heavy rainfall across several districts until August 7.

Twin Weather Systems Fuel Active Monsoon

According to the IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre, the monsoon trough at mean sea level currently extends from Bikaner through Delhi, Lucknow and Patna before stretching eastwards towards Manipur.
