Daltonganj, August 27: Four students have secured admission to the 2026 MBBS programme at Medinirai Medical College and Hospital (MMCH), Daltonganj, under the All India Quota, with 11 more admissions expected shortly.
Of the 15 MBBS seats earmarked for the All India Quota, four admissions were recorded online on Thursday, said MMCH Principal Dr Jakka Srinivas Rao.
“We understand that 11 more admissions under the All India Quota will soon be completed here,” Rao said.
The medical college is also awaiting two central nominees from Meghalaya for admission to the MBBS programme for the 2026 session, the principal said.
The admissions are being processed as part of the All India Quota allocation for the medical college.

Jharkhand quota admissions likely from Friday
Of the college’s MBBS seats, 83 fall under the Jharkhand state quota. The state quota admission list is expected to be released on Thursday evening, after which the admission process could begin from Friday, Rao said.
College steps up document verification
The principal said the college administration has stepped up scrutiny of certificates and other documents submitted by admission seekers.
“Our team is highly vigilant about the certificates and documents. The college asks admission seekers and their parents to strictly maintain the sanctity of the admission process, as any aberration of any kind could ultimately boomerang upon them,” Rao said.
