Jharkhand: Dhanbad railway employees felicitate new ECRKU office-bearers

Dhanbad, Dec. 29: The employees of Dhanbad railway division today felicitated newly elected East Central Railway Karmchari Union (ECRKU) office bearers at a function organised by branch-2.

Md Ziauddin ( additional general secretary cum Permanent Negotiating Machinery in-charge), Somen Dutta (organising secretary) and Netaji Subhash were elected unanimously at three –day convention of ECRKU held in Patna recently.

All three leaders belong to the Dhanbad Railway Division.

While felicitating them, Dhanbad Railway Division union branch-2 president Nil Kamal Khawas said that railway employees of ECR, especially 22000 employees working in Dhanbad Division, have high hopes for them in raising staff-related issues with the management.

“There are burning problems of employees in Division, and we hope all would be solved under his leadership,” said Khawas, also the divisional spokesperson of ECRKU.

On the occasion of the newly elected ECRKU, additional general secretary Md Ziauddin said the present situation is challenging for the Union.

“Implementing Old Pension Scheme (OPS) in place of New Pension Scheme (NPS) is the first and important priority of the newly elected body. Our team would focus on placing railway employees’ problems before the management and implementing that,” said Md Ziauddin.

The additional general secretary said that newly elected office bearers of ECRKU would also work to immediately implement 4600 to 5400 upgradation in all departments, repair railway quarters, and a smooth referral system from railway hospitals to superspecialty hospitals.

Somen Dutta, Ajay Kumar Singh, Parmeshwar Kumar, Sudarshan Kumar Mahto, Mantu, RK Singh Islam Ansari, Rit Lal Gope, AK Das, and B Pramanik also addressed the function.
