Jamshedpur, Sept 19: The East Singhbhum district police have effected a major reshuffle, transferring 26 police officers and assigning them new responsibilities across various police stations and police establishments.
The transfers, notified through an order issued by the district police office, are aimed at strengthening law and order, crime control and investigation across the district. All transferred officers have been directed to join their new places of posting with immediate effect.
Major changes in key police stations
As part of the reshuffle, Inspector Chandan Kumar, officer-in-charge of Azadnagar police station, has been transferred to the Golmuri Police Centre. Inspector Rajan Kumar, who was posted at the Cyber Crime Police Station, has been appointed the new Azadnagar OC.
Sonari OC Inspector Madhusudan De has been shifted to the Cyber Crime Police Station, while Golmuri OC Inspector Sanjay Suman will take charge as the new Sonari OC.
Inspector Prashant Kumar Singh, currently posted at CCORO, has been appointed officer-in-charge of Golmuri police station.
Ghatshila, Parsudih postings changed
In another key change, Ghatshila OC Inspector Rajendra Kumar Munda has been transferred to Parsudih as the new officer-in-charge.
Inspector Bhushan Kumar of the Cyber Crime Police Station will take charge as Ghatshila OC, while Parsudih OC Inspector Avinash Kumar has been posted to the Cyber Crime Police Station.
Traffic policing has also undergone a change. Inspector Shankar Kumar, OC of Sakchi Traffic Police Station, has been transferred to the Golmuri Police Line.
Inspector Nityanand Prasad, who was heading Mango police station, has been appointed OC of Sakchi Traffic Police Station.
Mango and Ghatshila Circle Inspector posts reshuffled
Inspector Birendra Kumar, Circle Inspector of Ghatshila, will now take charge of Mango police station.
Inspector Ajay Kumar, currently posted at the Golmuri Police Centre, has been appointed Ghatshila Circle Inspector.
The reshuffle also covers several other police stations and areas, including Baharagora, Barsole, Bistupur, Shyamsundarpur, Kamalpur, Kadma, Kowali, Musabani and Dumaria.
Baharagora gets new OC
Baharagora OC Sub-Inspector Shankar Prasad Kushwaha has been transferred to Golmuri, while Sub-Inspector Ravi Honhaga, who was posted at Golmuri police station, has been appointed the new Baharagora OC.
The order directs all transferred officers to report at their respective new postings without delay and formally assume charge.
The reshuffle is part of the district police’s administrative exercise to reinforce policing, law and order and crime-control responsibilities at the police-station level.
