New Delhi, Jan 6: The Union Health Ministry reports that 774 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in India on Friday.

Two deaths have been reported in the nation on Friday, one in each of Tamil Nadu and Gujarat, according to government data.

With an increase of 774 cases in the last day, the total number of coronavirus cases in India since the outbreak in January 2020 is now 4,50,17,431.

The number of deaths in India from COVID-19 cases has increased to 5,33,387, after two more deaths occurred in the past day.

India has seen an increase of 919 in the total number of recovered COVID-19 cases, reaching a cumulative count of 4,44,79,804.

An official report from the Indian Council of Medical Research states that 34,660 tests were performed on January 5, 2024.

Since the virus’s emergence, 220,67,81,345 vaccines have been administered in India overall.
