Ranchi, Jan 25: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ranchi joined the nation in commemorating the 14th National Voters’ Day (NVD) today.
This day serves as a reminder of the significance of every vote in a democracy and encourages citizens to exercise their right to vote responsibly.
The theme chosen for the NVD celebration this year is “Nothing like voting, I vote for sure” emphasizing the unique power and impact of each vote cast by an individual.
National Voters’ Day is celebrated annually on January 25. The day aims to encourage and educate citizens, especially the youth, about the importance of participating in the electoral process and exercising their right to vote.

The highlight of the day is the administration of the NVD pledge, where citizens commit to upholding the principles of democracy and fulfilling their civic duty.
IIM Ranchi took an active part in the National Voters’ Day celebration. The event started with Prof. Angshuman Hazarika highlighting the purpose of the celebration that reinforces the essence of democracy and the responsibility that comes with the right to vote.
Prof. Tanusree Dutta and Prof. Prasenjit Chakrabarti played crucial roles in administering the NVD pledge to the faculty, students and staff present on the occasion.
The event at IIM Ranchi aimed to instil a sense of civic responsibility and awareness among the faculty, students and staff.
