THE JHARKHAND STORY NETWORK

We reproduce here the shortened/translated version of the editorial of Thackeray Shiv Sena on Hemant Soren:

In today’s political environment, everyone is not Nitish Kumar, Ajit Pawar or Eknath Shinde.

There is also some self-respecting Hemant Soren. Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah must have realised this.

Modi-Shah arrested Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren in Raj Bhavan through ‘ED’ in the deal of only seven acres of land. The government in Jharkhand fell after Soren’s arrest.

There will be a split among the MLAs of Soren’s party; under the pressure of ‘ED’, the MLAs will change parties, and the intentions of BJP will be fulfilled. This was the hope of the BJP, but nothing like this happened, and Hemant Soren’s successor, Champai Soren, won the trust vote in the Assembly.

Self-respecting tribals

The self-respecting tribals of Jharkhand did not bow down to the mobocracy of Modi-Shah. The MLAs of Soren’s alliance did not sell their faith and did not allow the corrupt politics of Modi-Shah to flourish on the tribal lands of Jharkhand. This incident is historical.

Powerful speech

The arrested Hemant Soren was allowed to come to the Assembly for voting, and he came. He gave a powerful speech and challenged the vendetta politics of Modi-Shah.

Allegations baseless

What Soren said should be understood. ‘All the allegations against me are baseless. I was arrested on the allegation of a transaction of some seven acres of land. ED should bring forward the documents of this land. I will retire from politics. Not only this, I will leave Jharkhand forever.’

Coins are genuine

Hemant Soren can give such a challenge because his coins are genuine. The case of Soren’s arrest is a terrible case of political terrorism and repression. This attempt to destabilise the government of the sitting Chief Minister of a state by arresting him in a false case is unacceptable for democracy.

Deformity of BJP

The arrest of Hemant Soren exposed the deformity of the BJP. Where there is no state of its own, overthrow it through terror. What kind of democracy is this? Which law is this? Is this that kind of freedom?

Hemant Soren’s imprisonment should become a perfect example for those fighting for self-respect and freedom. When Hemant Soren reached the Jharkhand Assembly to vote on the trust motion, the emotions of his MLAs ran high. Many people burst into tears as if the auditorium was drenched with tears of self-respect to protect freedom. The statement given by Hemant Soren in that emotional atmosphere will be considered historical.

Don’t cry

Soren said, ‘Don’t cry; the corners of my eyes are also wet, but I will not shed a single tear. I will keep these tears safe. When the time comes, these tears will become sparks.’

What Soren said next is important. He said, ‘This is the first time a Chief Minister has been arrested at Raj Bhavan. Now, all that remains to be seen is when the arrests start in Rashtrapati Bhavan, the residence of the Lok Sabha Speaker.

Soren said that the future of the country itself is frightening. It is a cry that democracy and the Constitution are in danger. After joining BJP by doing corruption, murder, and rape, they get shelter and freedom, and those who refuse to join it are arrested and imprisoned in Raj Bhavan. This is what is going on in the country.

Value of tears

Hemant Soren did not kneel, cry, or bow down. Like a revolutionary, he took the path to jail. The country will get a new direction and the light of freedom through this struggle. History will never forgive those who bowed down and surrendered. Hemant Soren has told the value of the tears of the fighters. It is from those tears that tomorrow’s storm will be created!
