Dhanbad, Feb 16: Ankita Sakshi, a class XI student of Delhi Public School (DPS) Bokaro, became state topper in the National Assessment for Scientific Temperament and Aptitude (NASTA 2023) organised by CSIR and NISCPR under the Department of Science and Industrial Research, Government of India.

Ankita Sakshi registered an overall A+ grade and got a state gold award, cash prize, and certificate.

Other achievers

A DPS Bokaro official said besides Sakshi, other students from various institution classes also received a Certificate of Excellence for their outstanding performance. They are Raj and Paridhi Sahu from class V, Pranjal Chandra, Shrey Kashyap, and Anshula Shree from class VI, Ayushman Singh, Avani Avanya Pandey and Atharv Kumar from class VII, Kunal Anand, Ayush Lachhiramka and Nirvan from class IX and Aavya Singh, Sarvagya Singh and Amogh Anand Jha from class X.

More than 5 lakh students from various schools across India participated in this national competition.

NASAT aim

NASTA aims to assess students’ proficiency in essential skills and talents comprehensively. The examination evaluates competencies crucial for holistic development: observation, recognition, classification, precision, prediction, problem-solving, critical thinking, and interpretation.

Dr A S. Gangwar, Principal, DPS Bokaro, lauded the students’ accomplishments in KAMP-NASTA, emphasising that such examinations stimulate scientific curiosity and foster excellence in innovation. He encouraged students to actively participate in such competitions to help them evolve as global leaders.
