AAI, SAG, GSAA sign MoU for Hyundai World Archery Para Series in Ahmedabad

AHMEDABAD, June 2: In a major step towards strengthening para-sports and promoting an inclusive sporting culture in India, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Tuesday between the Sports Authority of Gujarat (SAG), the Archery Association of India (AAI), and the Gujarat State Archery Association (GSAA) for the organisation of the prestigious Hyundai World Archery Para Series 2026.

The international para-archery competition will be held in Ahmedabad from September 3 to September 10, 2026, bringing together leading para-archers from around the world. The event is expected to provide a platform for sporting excellence while highlighting the talent, determination, confidence, and resilience of athletes with disabilities on the global stage.

Senior Leaders Attend MoU Signing Ceremony

The MoU signing ceremony was attended by Arjun Munda, former Chief Minister of Jharkhand and President of the Archery Association of India, and Harsh Sanghavi, Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat.

Their presence underscored the importance of the event and reflected the growing commitment to the development of para-sports in India.

Promoting Inclusivity Through Sport
