New Delhi, March 21: Following its defeat in the recent Delhi Assembly elections, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) made a significant reshuffle in its leadership.

Senior leader Sandeep Pathak, the party’s general secretary (organization), revealed that former minister Saurabh Bharadwaj will replace Gopal Rai as the new president of the Delhi unit.
Meanwhile, Manish Sisodia was appointed in-charge of Punjab, the only state where AAP currently holds power.

The reshuffle was finalized during a meeting of the party’s Political Affairs Committee (PAC) at Arvind Kejriwal’s residence.

Pathak further announced that Gopal Rai would be tasked with strengthening AAP’s presence in Gujarat, while Pathak himself would oversee the party’s operations in Chhattisgarh.
Pankaj Gupta was named head of AAP’s Goa chapter, and Mehraj Malik was appointed the new chief of Jammu and Kashmir unit.
