Jamshedpur, Sept 8: The Adani Foundation at ACC Chaibasa is empowering rural and tribal youth by blending sports training with livelihood opportunities.

One shining example of this initiative is 19-year-old Manjhi Sundi from Cheriya Pahadi village in Jhinkpani block, whose journey from grassroots football to public service has become an inspiration for many.

Manjhi began his sporting career at the Adani Foundation Football Training Centre in Jhinkpani under the guidance of Coach Jitendra Bari.

Structured training in fitness, discipline, and leadership helped him refine his skills and secure a place in the Jharkhand Under-20 Men’s Football Team.

His achievements, however, go beyond the football field. Manjhi also cleared the Jharkhand State Home Guard Recruitment Examination and now serves as a Home Guard, ensuring public safety while providing financial stability for his family.

His success story underscores the impact of the Adani Foundation’s initiatives, which are not only nurturing sports talent but also opening doors to sustainable livelihoods.

“Manjhi is a role model for tribal youth, showing how passion and opportunity can change lives,” said officials from the Foundation.
