Jamshedpur, Oct 17: Artificial Intelligence (AI) is set to play a leading role in simplifying medical treatment across specialties, experts said on the sidelines of the 34th Annual Conference of the East Zone Chapter of the Urological Society of India (EZUSICON 2025), which began in Jamshedpur on October 16.

Dr. Vinod KV, Hon Treasurer of the Urological Society of India, interacting with the media, expressed his delight at being in the steel city and engaging with fellow specialists. “Technology is increasingly becoming central to medical practice, aiding in accurate diagnosis and more efficient treatment of diseases. AI, in particular, has the potential to transform patient care in urology and other medical fields,” he said.

The three-day conference, organized under the aegis of the Urological Society of India (USI), marks the city’s hosting of this prestigious event after a gap of 12 years. Leading experts, researchers, and practitioners from across the eastern zone of India are attending the event to discuss the latest developments in urology, surgical techniques, and technological advancements in patient care.

Dr. D. K. Mishra, Organizing Chairman, Dr. Harprit Singh, Organizing Secretary, and Dr. Anshul Agrawal shared that the conference has witnessed an overwhelming response from participants. They highlighted that the event features keynote lectures, panel discussions, and interactive sessions covering a wide spectrum of urological conditions, innovations in treatment.

The conference also serves as a platform for young urologists to present their research, exchange ideas, and collaborate on projects aimed at improving patient outcomes.
