New Delhi, May 23: All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has started the application process for admission to PhD, ME and M.Tech courses under the Quality Improvement Program (QIP).
Faculty teaching in technical education institutions recognized by the Council can take admission in ME/M.Tech or PhD under AICTE QIP.
Those faculty members who are teaching in technical education institutions recognized by AICTE and want to do ME/MTech or PhD, can apply through the online application form made available on the official website of the Council, qip.aicte-india.org.
20 June is the Last Date to apply
The last date for application has been set as June 20, 2024. However, before applying, candidates should carefully read the QIP Admission Brochure issued by AICTE.
Application Fee
While applying candidates have to pay the application fee of Rs 1700 prescribed by AICTE QIP. However, the application fee for SC/ST/PwD and female candidates of all categories is Rs 850.

Who can apply?
According to the ME, MTech, and PhD admission brochure issued by AICTET, candidates for master’s degree courses must be regular/permanent faculty with at least one year of teaching experience in recognized polytechnic (diploma) institutions. Additionally, they must have passed a bachelor’s degree in the relevant branch.
Similarly, for PhD admissions, faculty members must have at least three years of teaching experience and must have passed a master’s degree in the relevant branch.
Selection Process
The applications received from the candidates will be scrutinized by AICTE to check the prescribed minimum qualifications.
Shortlisted candidates will then be invited for interview and/or written examination. The final selection list will be prepared on the basis of performance in this.
The merit list is to be released on 7th August for ME/MTech courses and on 7th October 2024 for PhD courses.
