Dhanbad, Nov 16: All India Fertilizer Corporation of India (FCI) VSS employees will hold a massive demonstration in New Delhi on December 7 for the implementation of the Bhagat Singh Koshyari Committee recommendation on the EPF (Employees’ Provident Fund) 95 Scheme.

Under the EPF, 95 Pension Scheme family members will get pension benefits after the death of an employee. At present, under EPF 95 Pension Scheme merely Rs 800  to Rs 1000 (depending on the duration of service) is paid to pensioners.

The Koshyari Committee of Parliament in its report had recommended a minimum Rs 7,500 along with DA.  The committee was constituted in 2003 and the report was submitted in 2013.

“In 2014, the then finance minister Arun Jaitley had ordered for the implementation of Koshyari Committee recommendation on EPF 95  Pension Scheme but reportedly PMO held up “, said Sardar Sewa Singh, the president of All India Fertilizer Corporation of India (FCI) VSS Employees Association.

The Association today (Thursday) shot off a memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting him to consider the plight of EPF 95 Scheme pensioners of the country and implement the Koshyari Committee recommendation.

“You give slogan of  Sab Ka Sath Sab Ka Vikash but in such situation, how would FCI VSS employees survive on Rs 1000 pension”, said Sardar Sewa Singh in the Association’s memorandum to PM.

The All India Fertilizer Corporation of India (FCI) VSS Employees Association said that VSS employees and their dependents in large numbers would reach Ramleela Maidan on December 7 and hold a demonstration to wake up PMO over EPF 95 Pension Scheme.
