Hyderabad, Dec 13: The Telangana High Court granted Allu Arjun interim bail for four weeks on Friday in relation to the stampede incident at the premiere of his record-breaking film ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ in Hyderabad.

Earlier in the day, Allu Arjun was arrested and placed in 14-day judicial custody in connection with the stampede at the renowned Sandhya Theatre of Hyderabad which resulted in the death of a 39-year-old woman.

Justice Juvvadi Sridevi noted that Allu Arjun could not be held primarily accountable for the incident, as he had attended the movie premiere with the necessary permissions in place.

The Court stated that the essential elements of the alleged offences were not evident on a prima facie basis.

The Court emphasized that being an actor does not strip Allu Arjun of his fundamental rights. It further affirmed that, like any other citizen, he is entitled to life and liberty.
