Delay in Competitive Exams Puts Future of Youth at Risk

Confident That the Chief Minister Will Take Action

Amba Prasad also mentioned that the government had already approved a proposal to release the JPSC and JSSC exam calendar within a month. She expressed confidence that Chief Minister Hemant Soren would take the issue seriously and ensure the necessary steps are taken as soon as possible so that talented youth get their due opportunities.

JPSC Chairman Post Vacant for Six Months

To recall, Dr. Mary Neelima Kerketta, who was appointed JPSC Chairman in 2022, retired on August 22, 2024. Since then, the position has remained vacant for six months, delaying important recruitment processes such as the 11th JPSC Civil Services Examination, Child Development Project Officer, and Food Safety Inspector appointments.

Without a chairman, exam results are delayed, and candidates are still waiting for interview dates, further prolonging their uncertainty.
