Ranchi, July 20: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday fiercely attacked the JMM and Congress, saying the JMM-led government is the most corrupt in the country.
“Rs 300 crores are found from the house of a Congress MP. Rs 30 crores are found at the house of a minister’s PA,” he said and asked the Congress party to answer whose money is this.
Addressing the BJP extended executive committee meeting with over 26,000 party workers in attendance at Prabhat Tara ground, Shah said that the Congress runs with such corrupt people and the JMM is also with them.
JMM govt is a govt of scams
Shah alleged that the JMM government is a government of scams. Listing out the number of scams, Shah said that the MNREGA scam of Rs 1000 crores, land scam of Rs 300 crores, army land scam, mining scam of Rs 1000 crores, liquor scam of Rs 40 crores, transfer posting scam of thousands of crores have happened during the tenure of the JMM-led government. “This is a government of scams and failed promises,” he added.
JMM fails to fulfil poll promises
He requested the BJP workers to knock at every door in Jharkhand with the list of promises broken by the JMM-Congress government and the list of BJP’s development works and gather support in favour of the party.
Bangladeshi infiltration
Shah said that instead of worrying about the tribals, a tribal Chief Minister is disturbing the balance of land and population by doing land jihad, and love jihad in the tribal areas.
“Thousands of infiltrators marry tribal girls, get certificates, and buy land. The population of tribals has decreased right now. In the coming days, the population of tribals is going to decrease further. The population of tribals is decreasing only in Jharkhand,” he said.
“If the BJP government is formed, we will bring a white paper on population and secure land, population and reservation for the tribal brothers,” he assured.
Infiltration eating away jobs in Jharkhand
Shah said that the infiltration in Jharkhand is eating away the jobs of the youth here. “Infiltrators are getting jobs and Hemant Soren is engaged in increasing the vote bank with closed eyes. Hemant Soren’s tribal welfare means the welfare of his family,” he maintained.
Modi track record
Shah, on the occasion, also counted the welfare schemes launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for tribals and OBCs.
“The biggest work that Modi ji has done is to secure the country,” he pointed out and made an appeal to the tribals, Dalits, backward people and the people of the entire Jharkhand to uproot the corrupt government and form a government under the leadership of Modi ji.

Comparing the inflow of central funds to Jharkhand, Shah said Jharkhand got Rs 84 thousand crore during 10 years of the UPA government while the Narendra Modi government gave Rs 3 lakh 84 thousand from 2014 to 2024.
Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, BJP state president Babulal Marandi and former central minister Arjun Munda also spoke on the occasion.
