New Delhi, May 16: Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the new Multi-Agency Centre (MAC) at North Block, New Delhi on Friday, marking a key milestone in strengthening India’s intelligence and security infrastructure.

Operating under the Intelligence Bureau, the newly upgraded MAC is designed to streamline coordination and real-time information exchange among multiple security and intelligence agencies across the country.

The facility is expected to significantly boost operational synergy, enhance response speed, and sharpen national readiness against both internal and external threats.

Highlighting its broader significance, Shah emphasized that India must build a “future-ready security ecosystem” capable of tackling emerging challenges such as terrorism and insurgency with speed and precision.

He also hailed ‘Operation Sindoor’ as a striking example of this vision in action — crediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s firm leadership, the sharp intelligence inputs from Indian agencies, and the armed forces’ flawless execution in confronting national security threats.
