Arjun Munda backs proposal to make East Singhbhum a child-friendly district

Jamshedpur, Nov 20: Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda has welcomed MLA Saryu Roy’s proposal to make East Singhbhum a child-friendly district. He was speaking as the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the seven-day Fourth Children’s Fair 2025.

Arjun Munda said the fair is giving a positive and constructive direction, and everyone’s participation is important. “The good thing is that people are joining. Everyone carries childhood in their memories,” he said.

He added that a child’s development depends on society and environment, not just the child. When people move from childhood to adulthood, they reflect on what they have achieved and aim for higher goals.

“Our traditions must reflect in our lives. The Children’s Fair has created a positive environment. At a time when intimacy is losing values, we found comfort here. We should remember that we should not only create objects but also personalities,” Munda said.

He congratulated the organisers for reviving the fair after the COVID years.
