Jamshedpur, Dec 26: The just-concluded Jamshedpur Literature Festival (JLF) 2025, which has steadily built its identity as a vibrant confluence of art and literature, once again connected the city with national and international creative discourse this year.

The two-day festival, organised by the Vidya Deep Foundation earlier this week, offered a rich literary and cultural experience, bringing together eminent writers, artists and intellectuals from India and abroad.

A highlight of the festival was the strong participation of local authors, underscoring Jamshedpur’s growing literary strength.

During a key session, noted Jamshedpur-based author Anshuman Bhagat presented his book “Ek Safar Mein” to India’s Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman, Harivansh.

The moment stood out as one of the most significant highlights of the festival, symbolising the recognition of local writing on a national platform.

“Ek Safar Mein” is set against the backdrop of the Bollywood and television industry.

The book sensitively captures the creative struggles, lived experiences, dilemmas and inner emotional journeys of those associated with the entertainment world.

Through his writing, Bhagat attempts to unveil the realities hidden behind the glamour, offering readers a thought-provoking and realistic narrative.

Events like the Jamshedpur Literature Festival continue to provide a meaningful platform for local creators to share their voices and engage in wider dialogue.

This literary moment reaffirmed that Jamshedpur is not only an industrial hub but is also emerging as a strong centre of creative and literary consciousness, encouraging future generations of writers to explore new dimensions and seek national recognition.
