Ayodhya to sparkle with 10 lakh ‘diyas’ on evening of January 22

Ayodhya, Jan 21: The consecration (Pran Pratishtha) of Lord Rama’s idol in Ayodhya is now just one day away. Preparations for this event are underway across the country with great enthusiasm.

Ayodhya, including the Ram Temple, has been adorned like a bride. The temple premises are filled with the fragrance of flowers. The entire city is illuminated with lights.

After the completion of the consecration ceremony of the Rama Temple, on the evening of January 22, Ayodhya will glitter with 1 million ‘diyas’ made from the soil of the banks of the Sarayu River.

Diwali will be celebrated by lighting ‘Ram Jyoti’ at 100 temples, major intersections, public and mythological places including Ramlala, Kanak Bhawan, Hanumangarhi, Guptarghat, Saryu Beach, Lata Mangeshkar Chowk, Maniram Das Cantonment.

The Tourism Department is making grand preparations for this.

It is worth mentioning that the tradition of Deepotsav began in Uttar Pradesh in 2017, after the Bharatiya Janata Party came to power under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
