Raids Continue for Second Day

The Income Tax Department began raids on January 29 at around 45 locations linked to Baba Agro, Baba Food Processing, and rice commission agents. The operation continued for the second consecutive day.

During the second day of the raids, officials recovered a large amount of cash and documents related to unrecorded business transactions from the premises of rice traders. Bank officials have been called to count the seized cash.

Liquor Bottles Found at Commission Agent’s Premises

On the second day, Income Tax officials also recovered expensive liquor bottles from the premises of a commission agent in Gaya. Officials expressed surprise over the recovery of liquor bottles from the premises of rice traders, especially in view of the liquor ban in Bihar.

The raids are still ongoing, and further action will be taken based on the findings.
