Ranchi, July 4: BJP state president and Jharkhand Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi launched a scathing attack on the Hemant Soren-led government, accusing it of being indifferent to the plight of unemployed youth in Jharkhand.
Addressing the issue of the stalled excise constable recruitment process, Marandi alleged that even six months after the formation of Hemant government’s second term, the written examination has not been conducted, leaving thousands of candidates in a state of uncertainty.

No Progress in Recruitment Despite Physical Test Casualties
He pointed out that before the last Assembly elections, the state government had organized physical tests for the excise constable recruitment. However, due to poor management and administrative rigidity, several candidates lost their lives during the race. “Despite the mounting casualties, the government did not stop the test, which led to even more deaths,” Marandi alleged.

State Govt Accused of Neglecting Aspirants’ Hopes
Highlighting the growing frustration among aspirants, the BJP leader said that youth had hoped the written examination would be conducted soon after the physical test. “But even after six months of this government’s return, no progress has been made, raising doubts over the recruitment process itself,” he said.
Marandi further claimed that youth in Jharkhand have become the easiest targets of the Hemant Soren government’s political negligence. “Born into a privileged family, the Chief Minister has never experienced the struggles of ordinary young people, which is why his governance reflects complete insensitivity towards them,” he remarked.

Job Demands Met with Hollow Promises, Says Marandi
He accused the Chief Minister of showing no concern for the youth, stating, “Whenever young people raise their demands for employment, they are handed an exam calendar as a mere formality.”
Marandi concluded by saying that the future of Jharkhand’s youth appears bleak under the current regime. “There is no concrete recruitment policy, no transparent examination system, and no timely results. All the youth receive are hollow assurances,” he said.
