BAU conducts PG, PhD entrance examination; results likely within 15 days

THE JHARKHAND STORY NETWORK

RANCHI, Aug. 2: Birsa Agricultural University (BAU) on Sunday conducted the entrance examination for admission to its postgraduate (PG), PhD, M.Tech and MBA (Agri-Business) programmes. The examination was held peacefully under strict supervision, university officials said.

Dr. Ramesh Kumar, Examination In-charge and Dean of the Postgraduate Faculty, said the examination was conducted using OMR-based answer sheets. He added that the results are expected to be declared within the next 15 days.

Admissions for multiple postgraduate programmes

The entrance examination was conducted for admission to Master’s and PhD programmes offered by various departments under the Faculty of Agriculture, the Faculty of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, and the Faculty of Forestry.

Candidates also appeared for entrance tests for M.Tech programmes offered by different departments of the College of Agricultural Engineering and the MBA (Agri-Business) programme run by the Centre for Agribusiness Management.

Examination held under registrar’s supervision

The examination was conducted smoothly under the supervision of BAU Registrar Dr. Sailesh Chattopadhyay.

Of the university’s 11 constituent colleges spread across different districts of Jharkhand, postgraduate programmes are currently offered at five colleges.
