Mumbai, August 22: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Friday announced openings for seven key posts across its selection panels—two in the Senior Men’s Committee, four in the Women’s Committee, and one in the Junior Men’s Committee.
Senior Men’s Selection Committee
Those appointed to the Senior Men’s Selection Committee will carry the responsibility of choosing Team India squads across formats, including Tests, ODIs, T20Is, and any other formats specified by the BCCI.
Candidates must meet strict eligibility norms: a minimum playing record of either seven Test matches or 30 first-class games, or alternatively 10 ODIs along with 20 first-class matches.

They must also have stepped away from professional cricket at least five years ago and should not have served on any BCCI Cricket Committee for a cumulative period exceeding five years.
Women’s Selection Committee
For the Women’s Selection Committee, applicants must be former members of the Indian women’s national side. Their role goes beyond team selection, covering areas such as evaluating coaching staff, preparing performance assessments, and ensuring depth in the talent pool across formats and age categories.
Similar to the men’s criteria, candidates should have retired at least five years earlier and should not have previously held a Cricket Committee position within the BCCI for more than five years in total.
Junior Men’s Selection Committee
The lone position in the Junior Men’s Selection Committee involves overseeing the selection of youth teams up to the Under-22 level for domestic and international tournaments, training camps, and tours.
